Liev Schreiber turns 50 today! Liev Schreiber was born in San Francisco, California, got his first acting credit for the tv movie Janek: The Silent Betrayal (1994 drama with William Shatner), was also in Mixed Nuts that year (comedy starring Steve Martin), and is currently leading the often award nominated crime drama Ray Donovan (2013-present, now airing the 5th season). Schreiber plays a range of characters in a variety of genres, but does excel at the straight faced, calm speaking, strong and supporting role. His latest picture was Goon 2 as an aging hockey fighter who has learned a lot over the years and shows the weight of those years on his face. In real life, Schreiber has proven to chose far more well respected and rated projects than not and his acting talents are being acknowledged by Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his starring role in Ray Donovan. He will next be heard in My Little Pony: The Movie (animated adventure), an untitled animated Spider-Man project, Isle of Dogs (animated comedy by Wes Anderson), and will act in an untitled Woody Allen project.
