In 2007, I enjoyed seeing Malin give Ben Stiller such a hard time in The Heartbreak Kid. Her singing, colorful language, and comedic timing made the film watchable, and gave Ben’s newly wed plenty to work with. Two years later she starred in Watchmen, a film version of the comic book series, as the superhero Silk Spectre II. Having someone in the film I cared about made it easier for me to understand what the male character’s motivations were. Malin brings that heart and center to the film while shifting gears between comedy (tv show Childrens Hospital), drama (The Bang Bang Club) and musicals (she sang a duet and starred with Tom Cruise in Rock of Ages in 2012).

Currently appearing in the tv show Billions starring Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis, Malin was born in Stockholm, Sweden then raised in Toronto, Canada from the age of 2. After appearing in commercials at age 5 and modelling at age 17, she spent 3 years as a model in Europe. She joined a band now known as The Petalstones after acting in the film The Utopian Society in 2003 and can speak 4 different languages, (English, Swedish, French, and Spanish). Watch for Malin in 2018 to star in the video game adaptation and potential blockbuster, Rampage with Dwayne Johnson.
