Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth

I first saw Chris Hemsworth in the reboot of Star Trek (2009 sci-fi action) in a small but memorable role, looking and sounding like he belonged in a big budget action movie. He followed up with the thrillers A Perfect Getaway (2009 with Milla Jovovich) and Ca$h (2010 with Sean Bean) before headlining the Marvel comic book action Thor (2011 with Anthony Hopkins). Chris is a great compliment to the ensemble team of actors in superhero movies (both in The Avengers and Thor series) because he shares the spotlight, the laughs, and is not afraid to be the joke himself. He appeared in 189 episodes of the long running Australian drama Home and Away (2004-2007), has 2 brothers who act (Luke and Liam), and was born in Melbourne, Australia. Hemsworth has a strong voice, is charming, and clearly gets in plenty of gym time which has lead to action heavy roles in the action Red Dawn, and in the fantasies Snow White and the Huntsman in 2012, and it’s sequel The Huntsman: Winter’s War in 2016. Showing he has a dramatic side, Chris acted for director Ron Howard in Rush (2013 drama with Daniel Brühl) and In the Heart of the Sea (2015 adventure with Cillian Murphy), and stole scenes in the comedies Vacation (2015 with Ed Helms) and Ghostbusters (2016 sci-fi with Melissa McCarthy). Chris will next be seen in Thor: Ragnarok (November 3, 2017) as well as Avengers: Infinity War, an untitled Star Trek sequel, and Horse Soldiers (war drama about Special Forces deployed to Afghanistan).

Thank you and Happy Birthday Chris!
